Here are our most frequently asked kitchen spraying questions of 2025:
- What areas do you cover? We are based in Hazel Grove in Stockport and our teams can travel across much of England, Scotland and Wales to carry out kitchen sprays.
- What paints do you use? The paint that we use is K2 by Kolorbond. This paint is two pack polyurethane/acrylic and highly resistant to abrasion.
- Is the paint durable? Once dry, the paint is very durable. When we began spray painting, we tested many different paints and found K2 to be the most durable, which is why we will only use this paint for the sprays that we carry out. We guarantee that the paint will not crack, peel, fade or discolour for at least 10 years.
- What colours are available? You can have any colour! The paint that we use is available in “an almost infinite spectrum of colours” and our paint supplier offer a full colour matching service. The kitchen pictured in this blog post was sprayed last October in a vibrant yellow colour match to a sample provided by our lovely customers.
- What finish can I have? We can spray paint kitchens in 10% matte, 30% satin and 70% low gloss sheens. Almost all of the sprays that our teams carry out are in our standard satin sheen. If you would like to see photos of sprays carried out in each sheen, please get in touch and we can send some photos across to you.
- Can we spray a gloss sheen? As mentioned above, our highest sheen is 70% low gloss. This sheen is not as shiny and reflective as high gloss but does have twice the level of shine compared to our standard satin sheen.
- What can you respray? Our teams paint kitchens, furniture, windows, doors, garage doors, conservatories, cladding, fascias, soffits, guttering and downpipes. We can spray indoors all year around and we spray outdoors between late February/early March and early October.
- What is kitchen spraying? Kitchen spray painting is the process whereby one of our experienced Spray Technicians uses a spray gun to coat kitchen cabinets professionally in our customer’s chosen colour. When we complete a kitchen respray, we spray cabinet doors, drawer fronts, plinths, cornices, pelmets, side and end panels, wine racks, exposed shelving areas, the internals of glass fronted cupboards and the carcass fronts.
- Can you spray wooden kitchen cabinets? Yes, our teams spray solid wood kitchens, as well as MDF and engineered wood kitchens such as melamine. The company was named We Spray uPVC as we initially began spraying just uPVC windows and doors however we soon after began spraying kitchens and kitchens are now what our teams spend the majority of their time spray painting.
- Can you spray laminate doors? Our teams regularly spray laminate doors and a benefit of having laminate spray painted is that a smooth, knot and grain-free finish can be achieved.
- What surfaces can be sprayed? You can click here to read about which kitchen cabinet surfaces can be spray painted. Our teams can also spray paint kitchen wall tiles however unfortunately they do not spray kitchen worktops.
- Can we replace handles? We can attach your new handles upon the completion of your kitchen spray. If new holes are needed, we ask that you fill the old holes and drill the new holes prior to our team arriving to carry out the transformation.
- Can you spray my kitchen? Of the many enquiries that we receive, there are very few kitchens that we cannot spray. Factors that may prevent us from being able to spray your kitchen are if your kitchen is in a really poor condition, meaning that you would be better off replacing the cabinets or if the kitchen is very small but is a great distance from us, as we would then advise contacting a more local spray company as the travel time would otherwise exceed the time spent carrying out the spray.
- Can you repair blown kitchen doors? Yes, where laminate/vinyl is lifting or peeling away, our teams can remove the vinyl to reveal the MDF underneath which can then be sanded, primed and sprayed. You can click here to read more about this process.
- How much does spraying kitchens cost? Our kitchen sprays start from around £950 plus VAT (£1,140 including VAT). We may however be able to carry out a kitchen spray for less than this if the kitchen were exceptionally small or if the kitchen could be sprayed fasted by being brought to our spray booth for us to spray off site.
- How do I get a quote? You can send us some photos or a video of the items that you would like us to spray and we will then be able to get back to you with a spray estimate. You can send the photos/video by email to hello@wesprayupvc.co.uk, by messaging our Facebook or Instagram pages or via WhatsApp to 07523 171 845. You can also call us on 0800 970 8825 to discuss your spray requirements. If you are happy with the estimate that we provide, we can then arrange either to visit in person (depending upon your distance from us) or to carry out a video call to take a closer look and to answer any queries that you may have.
- What is the kitchen spray lead time? As mentioned above, we do not spray outdoors during the winter months and so during that period, our lead time is usually around 6-8 weeks. When we begin spraying outside from late February, our lead time can increase to around 3 months.
- What are the payment options? You can pay via bank transfer, cash, cheque, credit or debit card or you can click here to find out more about spreading the cost by finance.
- Do you take a deposit for kitchen sprays? We request payment of a 10% deposit within 7 days of reserving spray dates. That 10% deposit paid will then be deducted from the total that will become due upon the completion of the spray.
- How long does it take? Most kitchen sprays take 1 or 2 days to carry out, although some kitchen sprays do take longer than this if they involve longer travel due to being situated a distance away from us, if they involve priming which can double the time spent on site or if the kitchen is large.
